Soda, Start to Finish with Hunter Cady: January - March 2025
This highly personalized three month course with a maximum of six participants is focused on building strong foundations in studio practices that support creative and critical thinking, ceramics history, some material sciences and testing, and making work tailored to the individual participant’s studio goals for a group soda firing at the culmination of the course.
This course is designed for passionate participants that have personal studio access, and are looking for discussion and mentoring specifically working towards atmospheric firings.
How it works:
Each participant sets a personalized scheduled time to meet online every other from January - March 2025 for 30 minutes to an hour to discuss form, advanced making techniques, and inspirational materials, and to create a personalized making cycle for the end of term soda firing (these dates will be set with the group in January. The group will meet digitally once a month as a whole to share ideas and have a group critique. This culminates with a group soda firing workshop loading lead by Hunter Cady on a agreed upon date.
