Atmospheric Futures Scholarship:

Applications for 2024 are closed.

This annual yearly fund, gifted by a generous donor who wishes to remain anonymous, awards four scholarships totaling $1000. The fund is divided into two $300 scholarships to aid in the payment of wood firing workshops, and two $200 scholarships to aid in the payment of soda firing workshops. The goal of this scholarship is to support the growth of diversity within the atmospheric firing field and increase accessibility to emerging or marginalized artists who identify as BIPOC, LGBTQA+ or female. The applications will be reviewed by a panel at The Oki Doki Stuido.

Applicants must be over the age of 18.

Along with submitting the form below applicants must submit a small portfolio of 5 images (300 dpi, saved as JPEG format, 6 inches in the largest dimension) emailed to theokidokistudio@gmail.com with a subject reading , “(APPLICANT’S NAME) image portfolio 2024”. For example : email subject - Andrew Sartorius image portfolio 2024.

One of the largest difficulties with atmospheric firing is accessibility. Wood firing and soda firing are labor intensive high cost process that many can’t afford to participate in despite interest. The Oki Doki Studio accept donations to help fund more atmospheric futures opportunities.
